Our Mission
The SBDC (Small Business Development Center) mission is to strengthen
existing business entities, and assist start-ups through high quality,
no cost counseling, and high quality, affordable training programs
SBDC is a program of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) provided
in partnership with community resources. The Ventura County SBDC, hosted
by Ventura College, serves both Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties with
professional consultants and trainers available in convenient outreach
centers across the region. The Ventura County SBDC is part of a larger
network adminsistered by Long
Beach City College providing access to an even greater pool of experts
from a wide variety of discliplines.

The Biz Game is a contest where youth teams create a board game based on a business idea. Each youth team, made up of 3 to 6 students, will participate in 4 practice sessions to learn the skills needed to build the game and will be eligible to enter the contest finals which will be held in January 2009.
